We are influenced by what surrounds us - colours, shapes, images and sounds.

This sensory input impacts us deeply, even if we don't recognise it. It is shaping our thoughts, feelings, and eventually our behaviour.

Want to change someone's behaviour?

You need to start with how they feel.

That's where most people, especially salespeople, miss the mark. They get caught up in facts and logic. For example, they assume price is the issue.

But people don't buy based on logic.

They buy because somethingmoves them.

They buy because theyfeel certain.

Theyfeel excited.

They cansee themselves using the thing.

If you want better results from any sales or personal interactions (yes, this might make it sound transactional), don't just talk about features and benefits.

Make themfeel something.

Because when you hit the emotional trigger, the brain starts saying, "Yes! This is for me." And, it starts looking for ways to justify having it.

This is a very, very powerful concept and one you should keep at the forefront of your mind as often as possible. It will make a big difference!
