Glenn Edley is the owner and Campaign Director at Spikemail, a managed email marketing company that loves email marketing, does the work for you, and makes you look good at email marketing. He creates strategies and implements email marketing campaigns for Spikemail clients and consults on email strategy and compliance to agencies and businesses.
Glenn is also the author of the MondayMotivator, a weekly inspirational email sent to an average of 5,000 recipients. From time to time the MondayMotivator is read out on the radio by Leighton Smith of NewstalkZB. Glenn hasn't missed a Monday for five years and recently started sending a daily minimotivator to a separate list of 5,000 recipients. He has been interviewed by the NZ Sales Manager Magazine about sales, business, Mondays and motivation, written an article about Twitter for Ponsonby News, and finds time to write about cars on his blog CAR137.com.
After Glenn left school he joined the RNZAF where he trained and worked as a Technician for three years. He moved into Car and Home Security and along the way picked up IT skills by starting a Virtual ISP called SpikeWeb.
Glenn learnt his sales skills from a young age working on the shop floor and then later selling email marketing packages before going out on his own. Glenn started SpikeIT in 2004 which he rebranded as Spikemail in 2006 to create a sole focus of managed email marketing.
Glenn lives with his beautiful wife Lauren, plays the guitar badly, enjoys racing cars and is enjoying introducing the world to his idea of email marketing.
Glenn aims to help New Zealand businesses look good at email marketing.
